As predicted, I wasted my first free Thursday diddling away on the internet for hours.

It's a good thing everyone I was playing pool and bowling with last night was drunk, because otherwise they would have had to kick me out of the game for sucking so bad.

Just kicked bootyakum at "Life". The relatives joined us for easter, and despite the bucketing rain in the afternoon, we hid and searched for eggs.

Yesterday, Robin and I went downtown to practice taking good pictures. When we came home, the family went mini-golfing at McInnis, and on that hole where it usually steals your ball, there was a jam, so we stole about 30 balls and played them on one hole--it was crazy! I discovered I'm talented at chipping balls with a putter, which I don't believe is what you're supposed to do. Afterwards, we chowed massive amounts of Indian food at a restaurant with hanging lights filled with years or at least months worth of flies.

Heheheh, I love telling my mom to have fun at class.

Wednesday morning, I cruised down to Seattle through the pouring rain and flew into Oakland. Since then, I've: cut 14 inches off my hair, watched a track meet, heard Robin's jazz band, gone for a cross-country flower-hunt in the water district, ridden my bike (!) in Samuel P. Taylor park, hung out with my coworkers from last summer, slept in every single day, watched a how-to roofing video (whoopee, can't wait for summer...), and enjoyed just hanging out at home.

I discovered last night at 5:15 that the art history final I thought was today at 6 was yesterday at 6, and I hadn't studied half the material, so I lickety-split! crammed, which really isn't too good for memorizing what pictures look like.

Before that, I had a conference with my boss, my anthro final, and my psych of gender "final" (meaning I ditched out on my anthro final for 10 minutes to code my student number on a scantron for the psych of gender class). When I thought I was done for the day, I drove Michelle and Aimee to drop off their english portfolios minutes before they were due, then wandered out to the grassy hill between campus and Fairhaven with Aimee and Chris to lie in the sun. It wasn't quite warm enough to lie in the sun, so we played on the round castle sculpture thang and rolled down the hill, which was more fun than I remember it being.

Aimee and I just watched Airplane, it was awesome!

Updated the art page with this and this.

Last night I went swimming with Aimee, Michelle, and Katie. After a few laps, we got tired and played monkey in the middle and race to the ball with some pool toys. Then we watched I Heart Huckabees, which was odd but fairly enjoyable.

Today I just missed claiming the shower by thirty seconds, so I had to wait half an hour. Damnit. I ran some errands, then, because it was sunny, drove over to Lake Padden to study art history and listen to my new Doves CD.

Cody came over today to have me help her with a paper, and then invited me to see the operetta "Fledermaus" with her tonight. A woman gave me a free ticket when I was standing in line to buy one, but she didn't have one for Cody, so I paid half of Cody's and we both got in cheaper. The singers were singing in English for audience comprehension, but I still could only understand half of it. Fortunately, they sang well.

Yay! I finally posted my new Cake Wars layout! Check it out.

Tonight, I watched a few minutes of Half Baked, then went to the gym and ate pizza, came back for my suit, swam for an hour, then blew off playing ultimate frisbee in the dark. After Bio, I went to a lecture on speciation--"Natural versus Sexual Selection in Asian Warblers". The guy giving the talk played us a bunch of different birdsongs and they were supposed to be very apparently different, but I couldn't really tell at all.

After Biology, it was sunny and warm, so I curled up on a rock on one of the 'San Juans' and woke up an hour later. You wouldn't think a rock would be comfortable, but I didn't seem to mind.

I finally got to watch Spirited Away. Apparently everyone I asked about it before thought I was talking about the drek-looking Disney movie Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. Losers.

Tonight I planned to go to the opera Fledermaus, but no one had any money, so we couldn't. I mentioned to Katie that I was going to dress up but that I hadn't any shoes besides Birkenstocks to wear--she told me it would be sacreligious to wear Birks with a dress. I decided not to mention that I did that at innumerable band concerts in high school.

Despite the rain, Aimee and I walked to class the "forest" way, on the trail through the arboretum.

Last night we watched Hotel Rwanda, which got us all riled up, and then Michelle and I watched Office Space because I've only seen it once before. My room's all moved around, in a good way, but I can't find anywhere to put my CDs--right now they're perched on Megan's microwave.
