Ya! Skiing this Sunday!! Supposed to be sunny and nice with snow the day before!

Chem test went great! Only 14 problems total, all fairly easy. May have gotten points off for not knowing conversion factors (ie how many cu. cm in a mL? I said 1:1). Other than that, yay.

Just got back from Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Very amusing, again. First I went to the other place where they have movies, the small theater, and there were 2 guys there. Obviously not the right place. So I asked them what was showing and they asked me a question in French, which I wasn't expecting. Wrong language! Hehe. They excitedly told me about the French movie they were showing, "the first of the new-age French movies, a classic b&w". I went to Once Upon a Time in Mexico, uncultured swine that I am. I should've told them I did speak French though. Oh well.

Spent the past hour trying to delete this new virulent virus: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=562&e=1&u=/ap/e_mail_worm
Lucky me.
Hope it worked.

Becotopia (8:40:47 PM): I am reading about how Germany's renewable energy policy is exponentially better than ours
Becotopia (8:40:54 PM): depressing
BryanBoyGenius (8:41:37 PM): you should connect that to how the world would have been a better place if the Nazi's were successful
BryanBoyGenius (8:42:12 PM): that would make for an interesting essay
Becotopia (8:42:17 PM): LOL
Becotopia (8:42:31 PM): omg, that would be entertaining to watch someone read anyhow
BryanBoyGenius (8:42:54 PM): definately
BryanBoyGenius (8:42:59 PM): especially if it was a teacher
Becotopia (8:43:02 PM): they'd all think I was a neo-nazi
Becotopia (8:43:05 PM): heh, yeah
Becotopia (8:43:10 PM): their jaw would drop
Becotopia (8:43:15 PM): literally
BryanBoyGenius (8:43:22 PM): then you explain no, i'm a neo-energist who thinks of better ways to power the world

Accomplished a fair amount today despite illness. Cleaned (as in wiped with sponge after completely emptying of crap) my desk, did laundry, practiced chem, did some homework. However, still somehow have a ton to read. Alas. Such is life.

Eeeeeeew, Cody coughs without covering her mouth all the time. I'll be pissed if she gets me sick. And my throat is already raspy...

Went to a Pedro the Lion concert. Pedro the Lion was good, but the two bands before them a) took forever to set up and b) were not all that great. Cody was impressed by the first band, a banshee woman with the life sucked out of her so that she merely sang too high. Also she tuned for a full 2 minutes before each song, eating up most of their set with tuning. So we left around 11 and came back to the dorms to buy pizza and watch Cruel Intentions, which I had never seen before. It was pretty good. That girl in it was evil.

acanthous: anything and everything
acanthous: an electric pencil sharpener?

Current experiment: which cereal is grosser as a milk saturated wad of hardening flour at the bottom of my bowl? Cheerios or Shredded Oats?

Sometimes my chemistry class makes me feel stupid it's so simple. But I have this feeling the test will be uber-hard.

the exculpatory (10:15:10 PM): did you finish your studying?
Becotopia (10:15:16 PM): not quite
the exculpatory (10:15:25 PM): I know how you feel
Becotopia (10:15:28 PM): got distracted by the lure of shiny shiny saxophone

Becotopia (10:16:17 PM): LOL
the exculpatory (10:16:17 PM): I was distracted by the lure of music wafting from room and wide, wide internet opportunities
Becotopia (10:16:25 PM): LOL!

Sorry to anyone who is fond of the stupid quotes but I'm taking the link down because I haven't gotten anything new in ages.

Check out the cake wars, Brian's and my art blog. We're going to be updating it every day. That's always good...

Becotopia (10:16:53 PM): I'm not exactly a social butterfly even when there are people here though
BryanBoyGenius (10:17:04 PM): I can relate lol
Becotopia (10:18:02 PM): hehe
BryanBoyGenius (10:19:06 PM): us unsocial people should form a union- strike back- Revenge of the Unsocial
Becotopia (10:19:55 PM): lol
Becotopia (10:19:58 PM): that we should
Becotopia (10:20:11 PM): except that that would require being social
BryanBoyGenius (10:21:38 PM): nope- someone would start by writing an anonymous letter to a newspaper about unsocialism, and then another would follow, and then the trend would spread, people would feel sry for us, and try to make us ununsocial, but i guess that would suck cause i like being unsocial so scrap that idea.
Becotopia (10:22:27 PM): LOL

Spent too much time drawing today and yesterday but oh well. My back hurts and I went to bed at 10:30 last night. Unfortunately, Cody was then on the phone until midnight, keeping me awake.

She didn't know there were 2 presidents named Roosevelt.

Cody: "Oh, oh, I have a good quote by Roosevelt."
Me: "Which Roosevelt?"
Cody: "There were two?"
Me: "Ummm... One was elected four times--Franklin Delano."
Cody: "Oh. Well, the more famous one."
Me: "Uh...ok."

Well, yesterday I slept through class, but today I sat bolt upright at 8:59, as though I were waking up for that class late again. I changed my schedule so now I'm way busier but don't have class at 9 every day. I'll see how that choice turns out.

acanthous (3:07:54 PM): heh, did you door-mount "kaeldra the barbarian"?
Becotopia (3:08:22 PM): yes I did
acanthous (3:08:31 PM): nice
Becotopia (3:08:31 PM): Cody is displeased
acanthous (3:08:33 PM): hahaha
Becotopia (3:08:38 PM): others are curious what it is
acanthous (3:08:41 PM): but it's totally school spiritish
Becotopia (3:08:48 PM): hehehe, yes

Watched Donnie Darko--I don't get it.

Attempted to play Cranium in the lounge but only I showed up so I had to chat awkwardly with my RA for an hour before I could escape.

Today all I accomplished was a bit of drawing and editing Ghost Post.

Listening to the best album of the evening Emerson Lake and Palmer Trilogy.

Saturday, January 10, 2004

I attempted to print Ghost Post on the school computer with my 500 page quota but the printer had a jam before I started and I feel bad using the printer somewhere more populated.

I hope chem's not too tough--everyone warns against my teacher. But rescheduling would give me a class on Wednesdays.

Some new crazy girl at the atheist club told us she remained Catholic for a long time because some religious person predicted a miracle and apparently "everyone around the world synonymously saw the sun change colors and move around a little." We told her not everyone could see the sun at the same time.

Well, class was cancelled until noon today because of bad weather, so I did not get to find out what my environmental studies class was about. Friday. Of course I walked all the way down there, slipping on the ice, passing signs taped to my dorm's doors that told me not to go to class. About five people were sitting in front of the dark empty room when I got there, and we simultaneously looked at each other and asked if we had missed something.

Jazz band began, went pretty well.

The snow has now melted because it rained last night.

Oh dear lord, literally:

http://objective.jesussave.us/wackyevolutionists.html

I just don't understand...especially the "dinosaur article"...

Back to the grindstone. Weather: inclement, but not so much that classes would be cancelled.

First two classes of the day seemed good. Got back last night at 11 pm after my flight was scheduled to arrive at 8:30.
