Wow, I was on a writing roll last night, I almost caught up--now have 36k. Then this morning, slept through brunch, woke up at 1. Oh well.

Went to the Honors social and it was a lot more fun than I expected. Perhaps that was because they fed us hot fudge sundaes. Hehe. Managed to get a ride home instead of walking. Yay.

A decent day--uber happy with my new coat too! I managed to catch the correct bus, which even dropped me off inside Sehome. Then I wandered around REI for an hour, found a parka shell I love, and then tried to find a medium. No mediums in red, so some poor checker girl wandered around for fifteen minutes looking for the one M the computer claims they have, and found it on hold for someone else. But the hold ended today. So after calling the woman, I got to have it. Yay!!

Learned more about Buddhism because people from the Buddhist club came to talk to us tonight.

There's something about the Moody Blues that just makes me want to turn the volume up and shut my eyes and listen to it. But Cody's asleep.

Ugh, so much for that plan. I got on the one bus that wouldn't take me where I wanted to go, wound up in Fairhaven. Thinking Cody had bought her parka there, I got off the bus, walked around town, and quickly ascertained that she did not get it there. Mad, I walked back to campus. I'll have to get a coat another day, because I have class at 2 and now can't get back on time.

Took a nap after coming home from wretchedly dull and soporific geology lecture about the hydrosphere, dreampt an astonishingly scary dream for only 20 minutes. Involved talking to Brian on the phone, ignoring him for a second to listen to two guys who were working at a computer on Sally's desk, then returning to the conversation to hear Sally telling me she had found religion and Brian telling me I was prejudiced against Sally for becoming Christian, and all I could say was, "I missed something big, tell me what I missed."

On a happier note, there were a lot of new people at capture the flag, so now I have some female ctf brethren (hehe, appropriate word choice?).

Why does Cody always take a nap just when I want to practice?

Hehe, just found the "All Blues" station.

Sally came up Friday, had some good talking action. Saturday, walked to the cutsey part of downtown, Fairhaven, and bought beads and socks and carrot cake. Unfortunately, Cody was there. Sally and I shared some laughs about Cody's oblivion, which is even worse than my own. We went out to Thai food (fortunately free of der roommate) after a movie fiasco in the library. Watched wretched film Bread & Roses which we had confused with Bread & Tulips. After watching the girl get deported, we had to rouse our spirits by borrowing 10 Things I Hate About You from a girl down the hall who was doing homework on a Saturday night. Invited her to join us, but she declined. More Cody obnoxiousness, this time with her infected ear piercing.

This morning, Sally took off at 9 am and so did I. Cruised to Fidalgo and Whigby (?) islands to investigate rocks. Banged my knee whilst crawling across steep sharp rocks on the edge of the island to check out "pillow basalt" which is not half so cool as it sounds. Drove, rocks, drove, rocks. Drove home, dinner, etc, wrote, am behind in my story by a lot. Shall catch up Tuesday when there is no school. Yay for no school!

Ugh, Cody wants to loft her bed and buy pillows for underneath and I know it's selfish of me but I know one I know is going to come in here to hang out with me on the pillows, only people for her, and I don't want to buy carpet and pillows that I'll just have to store and won't have any use for. Oh well...

Wow, our regular teachers were busy today so Chuck Israels the 2 o'clock band teacher came and harassed us. He whipped us into shape. Then he made me fill over some backgrounds the whole rest of the band was playing, and yelled at me until I played it loud enough. I was busting with the volume, but it sounded really good, or at least I thought so, he thought so, and Eli thought so. Whatever, we probably won't do that part when Zach and Kevin teach us again. But still fun.

Wow that was an easy lab. I finished an hour early. I don't know how everyone else in the class takes so much longer than my group.

Yay! Thursday and Friday my Western Traditions teacher will be out of town so I am going for a long hike on Thursday. Also, I turned my rough draft paper in so hopefully it will help to have the teacher's suggestions.

Gosh I have problems...when people say "What's up?" they don't really mean it, it's just a greeting...I always try to say, "I'm fine and you?" or "Oh, I'm heading to dinner, what're you up to?" but by the time I spit that all out they're gone. I think what's up should only be used if you really want to hear. Rarr. Oh well I suppose if that is the least of my troubles then life is good.

Just watched Remember the Titans on my computer. It was just as good as the last time I watched it, and it still made me cry.

I almost missed dinner tonight because usually I go about half an hour after Cody, and she decided not to go to dinner, so I didn't realize the time. Then I happened to be looking at my university dining schedule and glanced at the time and lo and behold! it was 6:25 and the VU closes dinner at 6:30. But I somehow made it down there before they had locked the doors; I think they don't lock them until people stop coming in. Lucky me.
